Air Medical Transport We provide several types of air transport services that are designed to suit a patients needs. Air Ambulance and Helicopter Ambulance

Since 1970, patients, their families and various organizations have trusted us to safely transport their loved ones. Indian air ambulance is operated by East West Rescue. We are the largest provider of air ambulances (fixed wing and rotor) in this part of the world and have earned a reputation of high safety standards and professionalism both nationally and internationally. Our extensive experience of over THREE decades of serving the aero medical field allows us to confidently and efficiently evacuate seriously injured or sick patients from even the remotest of areas.

The subcontinent has medical facilities varying from the sophisticated to the basic minimum. Many a time patients require specialized care, surgery etc. and have to be transferred to a hospital with adequate facilities for their condition. Time is an important factor in these cases and Indian Air Ambulance provides rapid, professional care and transferring of such patients. We are dedicated to providing flawless professional air ambulance transport of patients to and from the Subcontinent, Asia and the Middle East.

We utilize the most appropriate means of transfer according to the location and condition of the patient. Transfer is possible either by Airplane or Helicopter. With an experience of thousands of air ambulances and over 35 years of air medical transport, our flight medical staff are trained to handle the most critical of patients whether they are on life support, have myocardial infarction or multi-trauma etc. and provide dedicated critical care in the skies. Our service ensures continuity of quality care to all our patients.

Our full time medical teams are qualified experienced medical professionals (ATLS & ACLS certified) who provide coordinated "bedside-to-bedside" transfer Worldwide. Our Aeromedical teams are available to respond quickly to emergencies. Within minutes of a call, all the necessary arrangements for "bedside-to-bedside" service is coordinated so that prompt transfer is coordinated with the appropriate medical team and specialists, always taking into consideration the patients best interests. Our medical teams are chosen based on the needs of the patient. Critically ill patients are transported in an intensive care setting. When required additional specialists accompany the patient.

Critical care aircrafts are outfitted as flying intensive care units with all lifesaving equipment and medication. EWR performs more air ambulance transfers than any other organization in the Subcontinent.

Medical Escort On International Flights

We have repatriated patients to and from all continents. This service is encompasses worldwide transfers and is not restricted to flights to and from the Indian subcontinent. Any person requiring any form of medical assistance for traveling may use this service.

East West Rescue has been repatriating patients on international flights with medical escorts Worldwide for over 35 years. We have done thousands of commercial plane repatriations.

Our medical escort service caters to

» Persons unable to tend for themselves during their flight back home due to their medical condition such as recovering from an illness or accident

Medical escorts (Doctors, Nurses) are available for patients that can travel on the commercial airlines but need minimal medical assistance during the flight. The escort facilitates patient discharge, journey to the airport, check in and embarkation. The escort also helps manage the patient before the flight, in-flight and during the journey home or to the hospital. Though a patient may only require minimal care, all standard emergency equipment and medication are always taken by the medical escort.

Nurse Escort

Patients who are not severely ill and whose condition is stable, who do not require a doctor escort, can be repatriated with a nurse escort to assist in mobility and medical needs. The nurses join the patient in the treating hospital or clinic and facilitate their discharge, accompany the patient to the airport, arrange for check in and embarkation. They manage the comfort and continuity of medical care on board the aircraft. On arrival at the destination, accompany the patient to the hospital, clinic or their home. All required drugs and equipment are carried on board as necessary.

Doctor Escort on Commercial flights

A Doctor escorts a patient when the patient requires medical supervision and not just nursing care. The Doctor provides all the services as mentioned for nurse escorts. All standard emergency equipment and medication is always taken in flight.

Stretcher Case on International flights

Patients on life support systems or with serious injuries are accompanied by a full medical team (nurse, doctor, anesthetist etc) as necessary, with all necessary and essential advanced life saving equipment and medication.

For patients who are bed –bound but stable, even if seriously ill or on life support, repatriation on a scheduled airline can be a cost-effective option as compared to an air ambulance. Arrangement for stretcher space, oxygen, ground support, road ambulance are also arranged. The doctor or/and nurse meet the patient in the hospital or clinic and facilitate their discharge, accompany the patient to the airport, arrange for check in and embarkation. They manage the comfort of the patient and continuity of medical care on board the aircraft. On arrival at the destination they accompany the patient to the hospital, clinic or their home. All required drugs and equipment are carried on board whether for advanced life support to monitor the patients condition or for basic care.

This service is available on select International airlines. The patient is isolated from the rest of the passengers on board by a special private curtained area. Specialized Patient Transport Cabins are also available in select sectors. This service also arranges for ground transportation support to embark and disembark from commercial airplane.

We have full time physicians and nurses that undergo frequent in-house ongoing training and orientation to ensure professional and caring service. All physicians are fully competent and up to date medically.

Surface / Road Ambulance

East West rescue can provide road ambulances throughout the Indian subcontinent and Worldwide. We can provide BLS, ACLS ambulances with life saving State-of- the- Art equipment, medical teams and medication to allow continuation of expert care during transportation. Ambulance service can be arranged in the subcontinent and any where in the world for pick up and drop service at airports.

Equipment

A minimum standard of medical equipment is carried on all air ambulance, road ambulance and scheduled flight repatriations. Depending on the medical history of the patient - advanced medical equipment is installed. This provides everything necessary to maintain all ventilatory needs and cardiac monitoring.
We have equipment and medical teams to safely evacuate multiple casualties in India. We have state of the art medical equipment that is approved for air medical transport whether by air ambulance or commercial flights. We have ventilators that can safely transport patients on long distance international commercial flights. All equipment is owned by EWR and is located in New Delhi, India. All equipment is regularly maintained and serviced.
